Splitting up

9 02 2008

As part of the move to a new server, I’m splitting up the topics between new blogs.

At present, content will be divided between:

  • The World Egg:  New Worlds, new humanity. This will be taking the topics of virtual worlds and transhumanism. Those of you who have been coming here for cyberpunk topics will probably find this one is for you.
  • Trigram 2.0: Continues the name of this blog; will be more about Asian life, the global economy, and the telecoms sector.
  • Jianghu: My martial arts blog, taking over from http://jianghu.wordpress.com
  • Cymro yn y dwyrain: My Welsh-language blog on Asian life.

I’m mostly interested in World Egg, but I seem to be unable to use the feed. Maybe you should check… Good luck in Beijing!

Thanks for the heads-up. Yes, there is a problem; I don’t know why. For some reason, The World Egg has thrown up a lot of problems during its installation, when all the others have been vanilla. Bizarre. Anyway, I’m working on it and will let you know here when/if I fix the problem!

OK, the problem seems to be fixed. I deleted the rss-related files from the server and uploaded new versions. I also deactivated all plugins, and then re-activated them. One of these steps seems to have solved the problem. Let me know if it works for you…

I predict the last one will be the most popular. I know I talk to so many Welsh people who are interested in Asia, I was just saying the other day…

All these changes are bad for your self marketing and Googlejuice you know…

@Muskie: Wow, who are these other Welsh people? In Vancouver, or online? As for the move, although it’s forced by necessity, I probably should have done it some time ago. In terms of branding and Googlejuice, I suspect it will actually help. The way it’s been for the last year or two, this blog is way too scattershot and generalist; splitting it up into several more focussed blogs should be an improvement… so long as I can keep up the posting rate, of course….
